Telling It Like It Is
When you start any year, you have some plans but also are open for the unplanned to rock up too, as it tends to do.
So this year saw an unplanned and very successful and pleasant house move. It also augured in the fixing of a knee that had be painful for far too long.
From a creativity perspective, the month of December sees the Soulwaves : Insertions project coming to successful conclusion. The 12th ambient track is published today and the 12th Meditation on the Numbers in the can and scheduled for publication on the Full Moon. Likewise the 12th Lecture on the Numbers scheduled to be broadcast live on the Winter Solstice on the 21st December.
I am doubly proud that I’ve not missed a single delivery date and at the quality of the output, which has surprised even me. The former is a testament to using cosmic timing for project planning and the latter a result of tuning into the Council of the Light for guidance and support.
Halfway through the year, it looked like 2022 was to be the year of The Duadex and the third part of the Soulwaves Anthology. As mentioned in last moonth’s blog, there’s been a change of plan. It might happen but something else has popped in, even before the next orbit of the Sun has started.
It appears that 2022 is the year of the Tarot of Overstanding. This involves the writing and publishing of a book and production of a unique deck of Tarot cards. Both the Major and Minor Arcana will expand and evolve, as will all those who use them.
The book will be the third in another trilogy that I started writing over a decade ago, with the publication of Flavours of Thought and Planes of Being. With those two books, I only told part of the story. Perhaps the world wasn’t ready then. Or maybe I simply wasn’t ready.
With the third book, nothing will be held back. The esoteric knowledge of which I have been blessed and graced with will be made exoteric. It will also be augmented by a series of 23 ambient tracks to open your mind and 23 guided meditations to open your heart. There’s a sneak preview of one that accompanies the Minor Arcana below. The other four are available now in the Just for Each Day Soundcast.

For as long as I can remember, I have had a painful right knee. I’ve had various treatments and fixes over the years but nothing has really worked and now I am down to bone on bone. Even if you aren’t medically trained, I think you can see the problem in the banner above – the knee on the left is my right knee.By the time this auspicious New Moon of the 6th October 2021, I will have one of these implants inserted – an insertion of a different sort perhaps.
So why share it in this blog? Well, my first ever overnight in a hospital bed is a reminder of my mortality but it also represents a turning point. I have literally limped along for most of my life and achieved a fair amount. I am wondering where I might go once I can walk well again for the first time since my childhood.
Naturally, the operation is the just first step. There will be a recovery and recuperation period with physio. Like all these life resets though, there is an opportunity to get other parts of the house in order.
One of these has been inspired by an amazing happenstance. When I found the extraordinary surgeon and biomedical engineer who can perform this procedure on my knee, Professor David Barrett, I also chanced upon his ex-surgical practitioner, Mery Zanutto. I love it when adversity leads to fantabulous serendipity.

What I am really excited and chuffed about though is formalising my offer that many meditation guides have adopted and that’s using my ambient music as backgrounds to their meditations.

Next Moonth’s OutputAs I am going ‘under the knife’, I’ve got the whole of October’s Soundwise content recorded and scheduled for publication. I have to tell you that I have taken the brakes off and I am revealing alchemical magic that even surprises me. Hold on to your hats.
I am also really thankful to Siri Opli who is posting the daily Just for Today’s. We are creating a Minor Arcana deck with two differences – 15 cards per suit and five suits no less. This time the tables are turned as I have written them already and Siri uses the words to inspire her art.
While all this is going on, I’ve paused the writing of the Duadex for a while – listen here for why.

Halfway ThereAs we come to the end of June, I thought it a good time to take a stock check and a bit of a breather.
So, the second book in the Soulwaves Anthology came out in January and the third book is emerging slowly – only slowed down by a house move, which in itself has allowed the story to germinate and go places I wasn’t expecting.
What I am most pleased by is, even though I unexpectedly moved house, the publication of the meditations, music and lectures inspired by the numbers, and each Insertion, has remained on track.
How I do it
Each moonth, I create a new ambient track that goes live on the New Moon. I then extract the ambient layer and use that as the background to the guided meditation that comes out on the Full Moon but I listen to it while writing the script to really tune in. The following New Moon, in the Insertions Lecture, I explore the significance of the number from the previous moonth, with a guest or two.
The series meditations and ambient music tracks now last well over an hour each and the lectures over four hours. Each moonth, I am being more experimental and expansive with music and exploring more esoteric themes in the meditations – some of which I have never shared before.

Each day I publish a Just for Today meme, illustrated by Siri Opli – in the Soulwaves Facebook Group and on Twitter. Then a moonth later, I split them in two and record two new Just for Today-style meditations (using the relevant ambient music) which go live on Insight Timer. You can also listen to them in previous blog posts.

The less visible aspect of this unification came from tying all this year’s creative output to the Moon Phase.
The New Pattern
- Each New Moon : a new ambient track for the album inspired by Insertions – the first is called Unification and the second out today called Duality
- Each Full Moon : a new guided meditation inspired by the numbers 1 to 12 – the first is called Finding Unity and introduces the concept of the Unified Chakra
- Each New Moon : a lecture exploring the numbers 1 to 12 – these will be live first in the Soulwaves Facebook Group and then archived for replay
- Each Moon orbit : the daily Just for Today memes, illustrated by Siri Opli, explores each number
- Then from the Spring Equinox, I will start releasing and serialising my next book, The Duadex,
- All of this content is available exclusively via the Soundwise app
In addition to this output, I’ll also be publishing my not inconsiderable back archive on Insight Timer. For example, I am serialising my 2016 book, The Zone and discovering and remastering meditations that I forgot I recorded.
For example, I added some words that I recorded in 2010 to an ambient track I created in 2020 and, hey presto, Ethereal Whispers popped out of nowhere !!
In addition, I published the ambient only layer from the track Ocean’s Rise and created a ripple, no a wave, that I wasn’t expecting with a track called Souls Talking.
So next moonth, what’s happening is more of the same, all around the number 2 and the nature of duality.

The Last Thirteen Moonths
The Last Thirteen MoonthsThirteen Moon orbits ago, I finally published a novel that I started 15 years and 15 other books ago. Then, in the first lockdown, a book I hadn’t planned wandered along. It’s a set of shortish stories that are both prequels and sequels to that novel.
From today, Soulwaves : Insertions is available in print, ebook and audiobook on all the usual platforms.
And I am having a launch ‘party’ to celebrate which you can catch in the Soulwaves Group on Facebook – or on my YouTube Channel if Facebook isn’t your bag.
In the last thirteen moons, something more than just my first novel came along. It inspired a five hour album of ambient soundscapes and a four hour meditation series called the Soul-full Path.
This second book has a similar future vector.
The Next Thirteen Moonths
On each New Moon, starting today, I will release an ambient track which will form the Insertions Album – each track inspired by the numbers 1 to 12, as are the chapters in the book.
Each Full Moon will see the release of a guided meditative visualisation also inspired by the numbers 1 to 12.
And to wrap each ‘moonth’ up, starting with February’s New Moon, there will be a live lecture on the significance of each number and how we can use them in our lives.
Unification
Towards the end of 2020, I got an email from the CEO of an app called Soundwise. It is something I had been looking for. It gives me a unified platform where I can host audiobooks, meditation series, albums, courses and a podcast.
What’s more listeners can sample content for free, invest in an individual item or subscribe to my whole portfolio – and interact with me and other listeners too!
So I made my pre-2020 content freely available at the beginning of this year … it was this act that encouraged the arrival of the post-2020 content delivery mechanism.
There’s a couple of other activities that I have unified at the same time.
The end of 2020 saw the last Zone Show Podcast episode and Soulwaves : The Podcast is replacing it. Instead of conversations about the zone, we’ll be more soul-lead.
Also, for the last three and a half years, I’ve been co-creating and sharing daily memes called Just for Today, with artist, musician and guide Siri Opli. For the next 13 moon orbits, they will track the numerological focus of that moonth. This moonth will all be about Unification and they will be published exclusively in the Soulwaves Facebook Group. This is the place to hang out if you want to catch the ‘wave.
