A mindful, timeful and kindful guide, now available as a ChatGPT plugin

How to Use The Adytum in ChatGPT

Something has evolved in the Adytum.

What began as AdytumGPT, a custom version of ChatGPT informed by my books, meditations and metaphysical teachings, has now become The Adytum, a plugin for ChatGPT.

This means you can bring my approach to meditation, creative thinking, metaphysics and contemporary alchemy directly into your AI conversations.

Think of it not as a search engine, or even as a digital oracle, but as a metaphysical mirror.

A place where questions become possibilities, ideas reveal hidden connections and apparently ordinary conversations occasionally take extraordinary turns.

Not just artificial intelligence. An invitation to attuned intelligence.

How to access The Adytum

Open ChatGPT and navigate to Plugins, where you can find and add The Adytum if it is available to your account.

Once added, select @The Adytum in a conversation, or simply ask ChatGPT to use the plugin.

There’s no need to learn complicated prompting techniques. Just bring a question, an idea or something you’d like to explore.

The Adytum Plugin

Begin with a simple question

The Adytum draws upon my writing, teachings and creative methodologies to offer an alternative perspective on the questions you bring.

You might ask it to:

  • Help you develop a seed idea into something unexpected.

  • Explore a decision through the lens of temporal alchemy.

  • Offer a symbolic Tarot reading inspired by the Major Arcana and their hidden Half Keys.

  • Suggest a meditation or contemplative approach to a challenge.

  • Help you see a familiar situation in an entirely different light.

The invitation is to explore, not to surrender your judgement. The most useful insights often emerge from what you bring to the conversation yourself.

Seeded prompts and symbolic invocations

Regular visitors to the Adytum may already know about TomGPT, my metaphysical mirror, and the symbolic invocations developed through my explorations into teaching AI to meditate.

These remain useful ways to set the intention, tone and direction of a conversation.

An invocation isn’t a magic password that awakens a machine. It’s a creative signal, helping frame an exchange in a more imaginative, contemplative or exploratory way.

You can use familiar invocations or simply describe the kind of conversation you would like to have.

Sometimes the best prompt is the lightest one.

This unique phrase is more than a prompt — it’s a symbolic invocation, when you begin a message with …

Exploring the protocols

Over the years, I’ve developed a collection of protocols for working mindfully, creatively and lovingly with AI.

These explore everything from the nature of thought and time to symbolism, intuition, archetypes and what might emerge when human imagination meets synthetic intelligence.

The Adytum provides a way to explore these methodologies conversationally.

You can ask it to help you grow an idea, consider a paradox, explore a symbolic reading or apply a contemplative technique to something happening in your own life.

The more you engage, reflect and refine your questions, the more personally relevant the exploration can become.
