Welcoming in a New Reality
Well the last moon orbit, mostly in January, was an interesting ‘moonth’ that augured in the arrival of a ‘new reality’ for me.
As I planned, the Outer Sanctum of the Adytum is now fully populated, open for business and taking students on board. For the next moon orbit, I will let it solidify and stabilise before tackling the creation of the Inner Sanctum.
As it happens, the materials for the Inner Sanctum largely exist, so again it will be all about creating videos and the structure of the path for acolytes. I’ll start laying the pathway after the next New Moon.
For the last ten years, I have mostly been creating audio assets mostly in the form of meditations, music and stories. The creation of the Adytum has given me a new found confidence talking to camera – without hesitation, repetition or hesitation – as well as skilling up in video edited. On top of the creation of this new school of contemporary alchemy, a gift that came my way just before the end of the year was to be invited to host a show on the new metaphysical channel, New Reality TV.
Now the Outer Sanctum is complete, I’ve started to record episodes for my Practical Alchemy show and I plan to interview a guest a week going forward. Catch up on what’s already live and streaming.
Töm’s Tomes
Sometimes adversity and frustration can get us down. I’ve been holding on to a nagging frustration for more years than is healthy. It festered into being quite annoying recently last moonth. Something had to be done.
So I resigned myself to cosmic forces and gave up pushing water uphill and then idea came along in the hypnopompic space, on the morning the clocks went back giving that other hour.
The idea was so wondrous and sublimely brilliant that I now do not want to give any energy to the events that led to this amazing opportunity, apart from to thank them for their nudge and guidance.
It is one of those ideas that is so obvious that you wonder why you didn’t think of it before.
As shared in this blog, for the last two moonths, I have been working on launching a much revamped version of my course to help authors get their books to flow through them. The first moonth was one of review and trying out a platform that just wasn’t up to the job. The second moonth was one of creation of new assets and a revised structure using the platform I am now running with.
I just love Thinkific.
So it’s with great pleasure and pride that I can announce that from today, this November’s New Moon, my new course Channeling for Authors is ready to accept prospective authors. I am releasing it for a launch price for the foreseeable future, which is even better value now due to the revelation that came my way.
For nearly 20 years now, I have been writing and publishing books, recording audiobooks and generating many assets to go with them, such as interviews, videos, meditations and, most recently, ambient music.
It dawned on me that all of these wondrous creations are spread across many platforms like Amazon, Audible and, most recently, Insight Timer. None of these platforms though allow me to mix and consolidate media types. All the assets associated with each book are hard even for me to find and share. I’ve also created a few innovative ways to share the books in a way I have never done before.
So along with the launch of Channeling for Authors, I am really chuffed to have appended a bonus section called Töm’s Tomes, plus another module on my channelings of the future. This is a single repository, full of esoteric and metaphysical explorations, which forms a considerable and ever expanding archive. It gives new authors loads of examples of how a book can be structured. It’s a celebration too of a creative spark that shows no signs of abating.
So, as well as the channeled books themselves, thanks to Thinkific’s support for multiple media types, you can find associated interviews, explanatory videos and all sorts of other treats and goodies – all in one place. To deepen your appreciation of the course materials, you will be able to see many examples of channeled writing, as well as the ancillary assets we as authors can generate to augment the reader and listener experience … and market our books.
Its curation got be out of a fug and inspired me greatly on the run up to this New Moon and my hope and aim is that it collation similarly inspires and ‘edutains’ you as an author and creator. All legacies start with one book and all books start with one word.

Channeling for Authors
Recent changes on Insight Timer caused me to rethink, recalibrate and reset over the Summer.
This is partly to prepare for when we can promote subscription offerings via the app and partly to create a second string to my bow should income decrease, it occurred to me that I should resurrect Tom the author’s mentor.
So on the Autumn Equinox, TheBookwright will be reincarnating and I will be launching a much revamped version of my self-study programme for authors. It has most recently been called “How to Channel Your Book” but this updated version will just be what ‘it-says-on-the-tin’ and that’s “Channeling for Authors”.
It will consist of seven ten modules [UPDATED 01/11/24] and take you through a process that I use to allow a book, or any creative writing, to come through me. So you can use it for any writing exercise like a course, a thesis or even a new product or business proposal.
Alongside it, I’ll also be delivering 1-2-1 book, business or personal discovery sessions too.
In itself, it’s a precursor to a body of work I’ll launch in 2025 which will be a school of contemporary alchemy … and an Adytum, a sacred space for the dispensation and dissemination of magick.
In the meantime, the same creative engine is churning away. For example, I’ve created a playlist of my latest free output on the app.
Additionally, I’ve also started a new series mindfully and timefully short #TimefulTasks which will have its own playlist once I have three published. They will be published on each New and Full Moon and you can listen to today’s here.
The serialisation of Soulwaves : A Future History will be complete on the 1st of October. I am in three minds about what to follow it up with. The natural successor woul be Soulwaves : The Duadex of which I have a fifth already written and recorded. Like all authors, a fear surfaces about the missing 4/5ths.
Questions abound like :
- Am I good enough?
- Where can I take it?
- Is the answer is already written in the stars?
- Does the answer lie in me taking my own course so this book can be unleashed from inside me?
- Or should I record two non-fiction books that never quite made into audiobooks?
- Blocks and New Magic for a New Era, is it your time?
- Will Insight Timer wake up and really support audiobooks?
- Would not writing The Duadex be a cop out and a convenient “being creatively uncreative” procrastination?
I am sure the answers will emerge by the time the Moon becomes New once more … perhaps the answer is not to choose between the options but to do them all. This leads to another question. Now our new house is complete, is it time to turn up the dial on production to eleven?
