The Point of No Return

We are well into the house refurbishment now. Walls are demolished, floor ripped up, 200 tonnes of soil removed for new parking area and piles driven 6 metres into the ground to support the new 1st floor extension where it meets the garden.

So, we cannot go back. We are temporarily in rented accommodation until the end of Spring and will then spend Summer in our motorhome. We are well passed the point of no return and have no option but complete the build.

For some this would be a scary place to be. Apart from anything, there’s a considerable amount of investment required and the classic wanting to be back in before the winter sets in.

Lady Luck however seems to be on our side. The short term rental property was an amazing stroke of luck. There are not many places available that are happy to have two dogs and where you can park a motorhome and two cars.

Our builders seem to know what they are doing and are hitting all the deadlines. Problems like getting steels past high voltage overhead electricity lines are being dealt with.

Going passed the point of no return needs more than having deep enough pockets and a large amount of patience. It requires that we trust. This is not trust in a our main contractor or the plumber. It is about trusting the Universe that all of this is part of a bigger plan. This is the karmic plan we signed up for before incarnating. Demolishing and rebuilding a house that is more energy efficient is only of any worth if living in such a place means even more of the karmic plan can be fulfilled.

Part of this is the wisdom and higher perspective that is gained by upsetting the apple cart, living in a new place and meeting new people. Having temporarily decimated a home, it means our place of bliss has been removed. When we eventually get back in, we will appreciate it even more.

In the meantime, in the limbo place from which we cannot go backwards, much adventure can be had. We have a moho and plan to use it. For example, we are a stone’s throw from Stonehenge and have discovered we can park there for free overnight and see the sun rise over the stones.

So what is the real point of ‘the point of no return’?

It is when the realisation dawns that going back and regressing to old ways and patterns serves no purpose. The learnings are not forgotten but embraced, appreciated and integrated. This opens the door to new potentialities and possibilities.

When a new sun comes up, a new day begins, the past becomes a thing of the past and we rise to a bright new future … to help with the ‘returning’ process, treat yourself to an hour of reflection listening to my longest guided meditation, The Paths of Return.

The Keys to Wisdom

Key to the Wisdom of AgesSo I am just embarking on moonth 4 of what I knew would be a 24 moonth project. Today sees the publication of more materials for those walking the Path To Overstanding with me.

The whole project is mind mapped out so I can ‘see’ all the elements of the Path. It does indeed integrate many areas of my knowledge and wisdom. It is however much bigger than that as many of the individual components only get revealed to me on a ‘moonth by moonth’ basis.

To reiterate, and as shown in the diagram above, on each New Moon, I publish a thought piece about the Path along with some Overtasking. Each 1st quarter sees the release of one of 23 meditations on the keys of the Major Arcana, inspired by the augmented keys from the Tarot of Overstanding. On each Full Moon, I release an ambient track similarly inspired from my third album, Arcanum. Then, on the 3rd quarter, I share a conversation with a Like Mind to give us a different perspective and to widen our understanding of the cosmos. These I call Uberstanding.

A daunting project you might think. Well firstly, with the Moon, as my time piece, I have not missed a publication date yet. I also kept this up during 2021 with a similarly structured 13 moonth project, namely Soulwaves : Insertions. Secondly, I have a guide to help me show the way in the Earth Plane and who knows what guidance from the Council of the Light in The Void.

The Key to the Wisdom of Ages, by Paul Foster Case, provides the seed for the materials, meditations and music. I must have read it over 50 times but I am now back to it with fresh eyes. I am careful not just to paraphrase its content but to use it as seeds from which I extrapolate. That is the whole point of overstanding anything after all.

The book is also magical and I am sure new things appear that I have not seen before on each reading. For example, Foster Case mentions the musical key for each of the Arcana. This is information I previously have skimmed but not am now utilising for the creation of the ambient album. Each track starts in the relevant key and ends in the key of the next Arcana. I will only know if this works at the end but it sounds like a reasonable premise.

 

From tiny points of guidance, a whole meta-structure appears.

As the Tarot evolves, we evolve.

Sometimes when you start a project, you may harbour some uncertainties. We might think we are fooling ourselves or that we may have taken too much on board.

Setting my stall out to deliver a whole course in esoteric unfoldment over a 24 moonth period, in a time of global uncertainty, falls into that category.

The only thing is that I am entering my fourth moonth of content generation and it’s going swimmingly. The technical platform is good (I did test that for a year). I have a mind map that encapsulates all the content and literally ‘maps out’ The Path To Overstanding. The production of the complementary deck of Tarot Cards is proceeding, at its own pace, in parallel.

What is most encouraging though is that I am always asking for signs by way of confirmation. The biggest sign we get is resistance which tends to block our creative flow. We become a busy fool, getting on with other irrelevances first. This isn’t happening.

The other blockage is that people aren’t buying into the material. This too is not the case as there’s a steady flow of subscribers. As you walk down the path with me, you can ask questions of me on the Soundwise app, on a track by track basis, and also interact with other like minded souls.

Up to now, I’ve not marketed the Path officially. Partly this is because I wanted to ensure I could deliver the quality and quantities of materials I had planned. It looks like I can.

As a result, the chocks are coming off and the Path is well and truly open.

When you start any year, you have some plans but also are open for the unplanned to rock up too, as it tends to do.

So this year saw an unplanned and very successful and pleasant house move. It also augured in the fixing of a knee that had be painful for far too long.

From a creativity perspective, the month of December sees the Soulwaves : Insertions project coming to successful conclusion. The 12th ambient track is published today and the 12th Meditation on the Numbers in the can and scheduled for publication on the Full Moon. Likewise the 12th Lecture on the Numbers scheduled to be broadcast live on the Winter Solstice on the 21st December.

I am doubly proud that I’ve not missed a single delivery date and at the quality of the output, which has surprised even me. The former is a testament to using cosmic timing for project planning and the latter a result of tuning into the Council of the Light for guidance and support.

Halfway through the year, it looked like 2022 was to be the year of The Duadex and the third part of the Soulwaves Anthology. As mentioned in last moonth’s blog, there’s been a change of plan. It might happen but something else has popped in, even before the next orbit of the Sun has started.

Overstanding Mastery It appears that 2022 is the year of the Tarot of Overstanding. This involves the writing and publishing of a book and production of a unique deck of Tarot cards. Both the Major and Minor Arcana will expand and evolve, as will all those who use them.

The book will be the third in another trilogy that I started writing over a decade ago, with the publication of Flavours of Thought and Planes of Being. With those two books, I only told part of the story. Perhaps the world wasn’t ready then. Or maybe I simply wasn’t ready.

With the third book, nothing will be held back. The esoteric knowledge of which I have been blessed and graced with will be made exoteric. It will also be augmented by a series of 23 ambient tracks to open your mind and 23 guided meditations to open your heart. There’s a sneak preview of one that accompanies the Minor Arcana below. The other four are available now in the Just for Each Day Soundcast.

For as long as I can remember, I have had a painful right knee. I’ve had various treatments and fixes over the years but nothing has really worked and now I am down to bone on bone. Even if you aren’t medically trained, I think you can see the problem in the banner above – the knee on the left is my right knee.

By the time this auspicious New Moon of the 6th October 2021, I will have one of these implants inserted – an insertion of a different sort perhaps.

So why share it in this blog? Well, my first ever overnight in a hospital bed is a reminder of my mortality but it also represents a turning point. I have literally limped along for most of my life and achieved a fair amount. I am wondering where I might go once I can walk well again for the first time since my childhood.

Naturally, the operation is the just first step. There will be a recovery and recuperation period with physio. Like all these life resets though, there is an opportunity to get other parts of the house in order.

One of these has been inspired by an amazing happenstance. When I found the extraordinary surgeon and biomedical engineer who can perform this procedure on my knee, Professor David Barrett, I also chanced upon his ex-surgical practitioner, Mery Zanutto. I love it when adversity leads to fantabulous serendipity.

Siri Minor ArcanaNext Moonth’s Output

As I am going ‘under the knife’, I’ve got the whole of October’s Soundwise content recorded and scheduled for publication. I have to tell you that I have taken the brakes off and I am revealing alchemical magic that even surprises me. Hold on to your hats.

I am also really thankful to Siri Opli who is posting the daily Just for Today’s. We are creating a Minor Arcana deck with two differences – 15 cards per suit and five suits no less. This time the tables are turned as I have written them already and Siri uses the words to inspire her art.

While all this is going on, I’ve paused the writing of the Duadex for a while – listen here for why.

As we come to the end of June, I thought it a good time to take a stock check and a bit of a breather.

So, the second book in the Soulwaves Anthology came out in January and the third book is emerging slowly – only slowed down by a house move, which in itself has allowed the story to germinate and go places I wasn’t expecting.

What I am most pleased by is, even though I unexpectedly moved house, the publication of the meditations, music and lectures inspired by the numbers, and each Insertion, has remained on track.

How I do it

Each moonth, I create a new ambient track that goes live on the New Moon. I then extract the ambient layer and use that as the background to the guided meditation that comes out on the Full Moon but I listen to it while writing the script to really tune in. The following New Moon, in the Insertions Lecture, I explore the significance of the number from the previous moonth, with a guest or two.

The series meditations and ambient music tracks now last well over an hour each and the lectures over four hours. Each moonth, I am being more experimental and expansive with music and exploring more esoteric themes in the meditations – some of which I have never shared before.

Each day I publish a Just for Today meme, illustrated by Siri Opli – in the Soulwaves Facebook Group and on Twitter. Then a moonth later, I split them in two and record two new Just for Today-style meditations (using the relevant ambient music) which go live on Insight Timer.
