New Perspectives

It’s only just dawned on me that our recent house move played out over a whole moon orbit.

We started our move just before the April New Moon and this New Moon sees us in and installed with my new writing and music studio operational.

The location and views are amazing and it’s lead to a whole new perspective and focus. The plans that have been hatching over the last couple of years in particular have lead to me landing in the perfect place to manifest them more holistically and with enhanced grace and ease.

New Plans

A moonth off the usual rate and style of production has allowed a stepping back and starting up again and the gift of being able to see and ease into a new pattern.

So each moonth now looks like this :

Every single day, post a Just for Today illustrated meme on Twitter & in the Facebook Soulwaves Group
Each moonth these generate two new guided meditations for Insight Timer (effortlessly)
Each moonth, there is a new ambient track inspired by an Insertion (the music used as a background for the meditations above)
Each moonth, there is a new guided meditation inspired by an Insertion (again using the ambient background from above)
Each moonth, there is live lecture on the numbers
Each moonth, there will be a live meditation session via Insight Timer
PLUS the Duadex will start to flow !

The Soulwaves Triptych

While it was well over 15 years, and 15 other books, before Soulwaves : A Future History finally got published, the first of many dominoes seems to have toppled and started, well, somewhat of a ‘wave.

The second book in the series, Soulwaves : Insertions, duly emerged 13 moons after the publication of its prequel. The twelve short stories that it contained are now regularly inspiring the creation of ambient tracks, meditations and lectures all inspired in sequence by the numbers 1 to 12.

What is most significant though is the trigger provided by this author starting and leaving a huge open loop, first in Insertion i : The Scroll and then followed by Insertion xii : The Duadex.

What started as a novel and unexpectedly gave rise to a complete album of ambient music has now grown into a complete anthology.

Serialisation of The Duadex

The Soundwise app allows me to do something I have wanted to do for so long and that’s to serialise the delivery of a book. The ability of listeners to comment on a chapter-by-chapter basis also means that you can steer the direction of the book as I create it.

So the Duadex starts where the last book finishes, at the end of Epoch Six and the start of Epoch Seven. It explores what happens when Duadexes arrive on their target planets and sentient civilisations start to communicate with each other. Expect a few surprises though as all sentience is not necessarily how we currently see and perceive it.

You’ll also be pleasantly surprised as each chapter is told in the style of a meditation, accompanied by ambient music from the Soulwaves Albums. I am calling them Meditales – have a listen to the preamble to get the idea.

The Last Thirteen Moonths

Thirteen Moon orbits ago, I finally published a novel that I started 15 years and 15 other books ago. Then, in the first lockdown, a book I hadn’t planned wandered along. It’s a set of shortish stories that are both prequels and sequels to that novel.

From today, Soulwaves : Insertions is available in print, ebook and audiobook on all the usual platforms.

And I am having a launch ‘party’ to celebrate which you can catch in the Soulwaves Group on Facebook – or on my YouTube Channel if Facebook isn’t your bag.

In the last thirteen moons, something more than just my first novel came along. It inspired a five hour album of ambient soundscapes and a four hour meditation series called the Soul-full Path.

This second book has a similar future vector.

The Next Thirteen Moonths

On each New Moon, starting today, I will release an ambient track which will form the Insertions Album – each track inspired by the numbers 1 to 12, as are the chapters in the book.

Each Full Moon will see the release of a guided meditative visualisation also inspired by the numbers 1 to 12.

And to wrap each ‘moonth’ up, starting with February’s New Moon, there will be a live lecture on the significance of each number and how we can use them in our lives.

Unification

Towards the end of 2020, I got an email from the CEO of an app called Soundwise. It is something I had been looking for. It gives me a unified platform where I can host audiobooks, meditation series, albums, courses and a podcast.

What’s more listeners can sample content for free, invest in an individual item or subscribe to my whole portfolio – and interact with me and other listeners too!

So I made my pre-2020 content freely available at the beginning of this year … it was this act that encouraged the arrival of the post-2020 content delivery mechanism.

There’s a couple of other activities that I have unified at the same time.

The end of 2020 saw the last Zone Show Podcast episode and Soulwaves : The Podcast is replacing it. Instead of conversations about the zone, we’ll be more soul-lead.

Also, for the last three and a half years, I’ve been co-creating and sharing daily memes called Just for Today, with artist, musician and guide Siri Opli. For the next 13 moon orbits, they will track the numerological focus of that moonth. This moonth will all be about Unification and they will be published exclusively in the Soulwaves Facebook Group. This is the place to hang out if you want to catch the ‘wave.

What’s Next?

Something else rather special will be happening over the next 13 moon orbits.

I will be writing the third book in the Soulwaves Anthology. It’s called The Duadex and will bring together many of the strands and threads from the first two books in the series. It is being specifically written to be made into a film or TV series, ideal for James Cameron or Christopher Nolan to direct, or for Ridley Scott to produce … I don’t mind which.

More specifically, it will be serialised exclusively to subscribers to my new app, starting from Spring this year.

Entanglement

Do you agonize about how your endeavors will turn out?
Are events and decisions from your past interrupting your present?
When you are falling asleep at night, do the trouble-gremlins dance on your chest, preventing you from breathing?
How is your patience?
Is your family ready for a covid winter?
What about your capacity for forgiveness, or compassion for the rude person you encountered at work/at the shop/on the phone/in line at the post office?

Let’s pause the worry train here for a moment.

Conjure in your mind’s eye two earth rotations from now. The dreams you are setting your sights on have come true, wilder than your wildest imaginings. Imagine that future-you notices present-you. Your wildest dreams are smiling beneficently, gesturing to present-you to join them in spacetime.

In his Insight Timer course, The Art of TimefulnessThe Art of Timefulness, Tom Evans introduces us to Future Entanglement: a practice of sitting meditation in which the practitioner uses time as the focus, in the same way the breath or body sensations are used as the focal point in other mindfulness practices. In this technique the meditative center is wound around the notion that future-you has already taken the necessary steps to change thinking and behavior to spin y’alls future outcome into the fabric of your wildest dreams.

Entanglement isn’t only an exercise, it is a theory, too. One that sees time not just as a linear progression marching in one direction to infinity, but also as a timeless presence without any before or after. Tangibly, future entanglement is a method to connect our present moment awareness with the consciousness of our future-self. It is something that can help us get out of our own hesitation and delusion. Working with fear and hope (two sides of the same coin), entanglement works like mental gravity: one pictures where they would like to head and then uses visualization to pull oneself to that destination because it is already real.

I use future entanglement for all sorts of goals and desires. Entanglement gives my anxious mind something to do with itself. When worry about the outcome of my endeavors blocks me from working towards them, it is simultaneously soothing and inspiring to visit future-me. The future is certain to her, and present-me can rest in future-me’s company while we vision wildly and manifest those wild dreams both in and out of time.Some practitioners use entanglement as a form of goal setting; by connecting with their future selves, they find the clarity about what their present-self is working to manifest. Dwelling in the possible, as opposed to the problems, is one of the best ways to clarify one’s destination and stay connected to why we do what we do.

In conversation we often say, “I need to pause” or, “Let me take a minute to catch my breath” both of which are deep wisdoms bubbling up through our colloquial language. When we pause our very busy doing sometimes messages you have for yourself can bubble up. Sometimes, that’s the only way those messages can bubble up.

Experimenting with time in this way helps us break our illusion that time is only linear. It can free us from the spinning worry ball of doom. Future entanglement, like walking meditation or eating mindfully, provides a focus upon which one rests the whirligig of the mind so that presence, awareness, consciousness, the higher self, or the soul can take the reins. This gift of self-care you can give all versions of yourself so that your authentic presence is clearly available for the vivid events happening all around you.

Have you noticed a change in the world in the last month at the macro-level? Well it has rippled down to me on a micro-level.

For some time now, I’ve been a little frustrated at managing all my content, especially the audio content.

Much of it goes out via the wonderful Insight Timer app, some ends up being available from Audible, and the likes, and some of it comes out on my podcast.

Then, just last week, a blessing came my way by way of an app called Soundwise. This is especially as I am just about to launch my next book Soulwaves : Insertions.

Through Soundwise, I can aggregate my content into one place where its much more easily findable. I love too that there’s a desktop version available as well as apps for iOS and Android.

So the plan going forward is to use the existing channels for the free stuff but to put the new, premium content into Soundwise. What’s more there will be two ways to access it – Pay-per-item or Subscribe !

The Road to Nowhere

So we are now the owners of a motorhome, kind of – she was called Bunty von Burstner. Unfortunately our first planned two week trip was cut short and ‘she’ is back with the dealer as ‘she’ kept going ‘fawlty’ – if she comes back next week, we are renaming her Basil as a result!

This blog was to go live while we were on our first jaunt – two or so weeks around the Cotswolds and Welsh Borders. It’s a reminder that, in life, there is no route, no plan, no need to get anywhere at anytime. Our ‘road’ has taken us back at base, awaiting news Basil has been repaired. Words have been had with the dealer and we are paying attention some other issues at home that required some TLC.

On a more positive note, seven of twelve short stories of the Soulwaves Prequel/Sequel have now been written that have gone many places already in space and time. This leaves the door open to make the next five go to even wilder places still.

Musically too, the synths will be playing very much a background role and the guitar coming to the fore – watch and listen to this space to see what emerges in the next blog.

Last Moonth’s Output

So this last moonth is one where I was aiming to slow down, what with the new motorhome, a few day trips out and all that !

But not only did I write those seven short stories for the Soulwaves prequel/sequel but I also created two more ambient tracks, one guided meditation, an off-the-wall podcast and published two audiobooks from the archive. My audiobooks now have their own playlist.

Incidentally, the ambient tracks now number 13 and the whole playlist is over 3 hours long and where I aimed to be at the end of 2020. Some good has come from the lock down!

Slowing down is obviously the new speeding up.

So assuming we get back on the road with Basil, I plan to use my trusty iPad for writing the next 2 or 3 stories and my guitar for recording melodies to go on top of new ambient layers – hopefully all inspired by the change of location leading to a change of perspective.

One of these new perspectives is to use classical tracks slowed down as the ambient layer provided by a great site called Chordify which allows the MIDI file to be downloaded – a new creative boost …

… also wondering how weird and way out I can make the remaining short stories !

A Summer to Love

This moonth sees an emergence as the easing of lock down begins. Some decisions have been made.

No more private clients or 1-2-1 work for me, just creation of books, meditations and course materials – and the odd online talk. The Zone Show podcast is also changing its model too away from interview format into being an audio-blog equivalent of this blog.

One of the reasons for such a change, is that my partner and are picking up a motorhome tomorrow – and we are going travelling. The plan is to wander around bits of the UK we’ve never been to this year and then over to Europe next year – with the aim of seeing the midnight sun a year from today, the 21st June 2021.

Soulwaves : Insertions

As is often the way, the idea for the next book came along unexpectedly. I wasn’t planning to write anything at all until at least 2021 but the Universe had other plans.

In the tradition of many a futuristic author (Isaac Asimov, Ursula le Guin, Ted Chiang and Charlie Brooker), this will be a compendium of short stories.

Soulwaves Insertions is a book of 12 tales about some of the ways the Council of the Light venture into the Density. The stories are both prequels, sequels and concurrent to Soulwaves.

While it stands alone from Soulwaves : A Future History, it can be read before or after it, as it fills in some of the gaps.

My plan is to publish it 13 ‘moonths’ after Soulwaves came out this year, on the first Full Moon of 2021 – and that the full book of The Duadex, referred to in this short story, and the end short story of this collection, comes out on the first Full Moon of 2022 – if we are all still here !!

You can listen to the first tale here called The Scroll – and I already have three more chapters written/downloaded. This won’t take as long as Soulwaves did!

So this last month has seen four ‘new’ bits of content appearing on Insight Timer – a new guided meditation called Soul Warmth and two new ambient tracks for the Soulwaves Album.

And now the next book is coming my way, each moonth I am going to release, from my back catalog, either a whole audiobook (if short) or section of a book for free on Insight Timer. Leaving a legacy and breadcrumb trail is the best way by far to step into a life of abundance and freedom. It also helps the next books to come along.

Another moonth later and spring has sprung. naturally with me, a whole bunch of new content has also emerged, which I’ve put into one place down the bottom of this blog.

For many, lock down I am sure has been stressful. For me, apart from not getting out as much, it’s been ‘business as usual’. I should clarify, it’s been more business than usual, of a higher quality, with less time spent at my workhorse of an iMac.

There’s been more time for research and reading, listening to music and other meditations, watching films and DIY … even a spot of golf.

So next moonth, I am scaling down to producing just one new ambient track and one guided meditation each month and hopefully no more than two podcasts. You never know though if those who are pulling my strings have different ideas …

… and I’ll definitely be producing more of the steps on the Path of Return.

Out of the Void

In just one Moon orbit of the Earth, much has changed.

Like most of the planet, we are in self-isolation and in equal awe at how the virus is spreading but how such acts of compassion and humanity are also nicely ‘infecting’ the globe. This will be an amazing turning point for humanity, as foretold in Soulwaves – see below.

You can’t time these things (or can you?) but, after last moonth’s Super Moon when it was at perigee (closest distance), even the Moon is getting as far away from the Earth as possible. It’s a Micro Moon at apogee.

Changing Course

So just imagine if everything in Soulwaves is true. If so, we have less than 90 years to save humanity. Even if not true, if we imagine it is, then we could take different courses of action right now.

Out of the Void

So while all this madness is unfolding, something amazing has happened in my small world. From nowhere (or actually from the Void) five 12 minute ambient tracks have emerged and I edited them together into just over an hour’s worth of music. Listen to the podcast to the right and to the composition called Immersion below.

The Earth Mind

It is natural we are concerned at this time by our fellow humans but there is a bigger picture in play. The Earth herself is in the process of Ascension where she becomes self-aware – not just through us. We live in a biosphere where we are just one small component of it. We are just 1/10000th of the biomass.

What’s Next?

We have to be realistic about the threat humanity is under. I am 62 but relatively healthy and self-isolating in a rural setting. I don’t need to go out at all and can walk my dogs on 150 acres of golf course.

That said, like everyone, I could succumb and this could be my last blog …

If it isn’t, a new ambient track called Ocean’s Rise and a new guided meditation called Soul Entanglement will be produced this moonth – as well as at least two more podcasts.

Just in case I don’t make another orbit of the Moon, four meditations are in the Insight Timer content queue – stay safe and indoors everyone!

What started as a novel and unexpectedly gave rise to a complete album of ambient music has now grown into a complete anthology.

The Soundwise app allows me to do something I have wanted to do for so long and that’s to serialise the delivery of a book. The ability of listeners to comment on a chapter-by-chapter basis also means that you can steer the direction of the book as I create it.

You’ll also be pleasantly surprised as each chapter is told in the style of a meditation, accompanied by ambient music from the Soulwaves Albums. I am calling them Meditales – have a listen to the preamble to get the idea.

The Last Thirteen Moonths

Thirteen Moon orbits ago, I finally published a novel that I started 15 years and 15 other books ago. Then, in the first lockdown, a book I hadn’t planned wandered along. It’s a set of shortish stories that are both prequels and sequels to that novel.

From today, Soulwaves : Insertions is available in print, ebook and audiobook on all the usual platforms.

And I am having a launch ‘party’ to celebrate which you can catch in the Soulwaves Group on Facebook – or on my YouTube Channel if Facebook isn’t your bag.

In the last thirteen moons, something more than just my first novel came along. It inspired a five hour album of ambient soundscapes and a four hour meditation series called the Soul-full Path.

This second book has a similar future vector.

The Next Thirteen Moonths

On each New Moon, starting today, I will release an ambient track which will form the Insertions Album – each track inspired by the numbers 1 to 12, as are the chapters in the book.

Each Full Moon will see the release of a guided meditative visualisation also inspired by the numbers 1 to 12.

And to wrap each ‘moonth’ up, starting with February’s New Moon, there will be a live lecture on the significance of each number and how we can use them in our lives.

Unification

Towards the end of 2020, I got an email from the CEO of an app called Soundwise. It is something I had been looking for. It gives me a unified platform where I can host audiobooks, meditation series, albums, courses and a podcast.

For some time now, I’ve been a little frustrated at managing all my content, especially the audio content.

Much of it goes out via the wonderful Insight Timer app, some ends up being available from Audible, and the likes, and some of it comes out on my podcast.

Then, just last week, a blessing came my way by way of an app called Soundwise. This is especially as I am just about to launch my next book Soulwaves : Insertions.

Through Soundwise, I can aggregate my content into one place where its much more easily findable. I love too that there’s a desktop version available as well as apps for iOS and Android.

So the plan going forward is to use the existing channels for the free stuff but to put the new, premium content into Soundwise. What’s more there will be two ways to access it – Pay-per-item or Subscribe !

What’s Happening Next Moonth?

So next moonth, the ebook and print versions of Soulwaves : Insertions will hopefully be ready for pre-order.

And I’ve re-engaged with Piers Ward, my very talented guitar and musical composition teacher, and I hope the first track of the new Insertions Ambient album will be released.

… as mentioned above, it will be made available first exclusively to my new Soundwise subscribers – have a listen below for a sneak preview of the ambient layer of the first track (with a couple of poems from the book).

Alpha and Omega

So we are now the owners of a motorhome, kind of – she was called Bunty von Burstner. Unfortunately our first planned two week trip was cut short and ‘she’ is back with the dealer as ‘she’ kept going ‘fawlty’ – if she comes back next week, we are renaming her Basil as a result!

On a more positive note, seven of twelve short stories of the Soulwaves Prequel/Sequel have now been written that have gone many places already in space and time. This leaves the door open to make the next five go to even wilder places still.

Musically too, the synths will be playing very much a background role and the guitar coming to the fore – watch and listen to this space to see what emerges in the next blog.

Last Moonth’s Output

So this last moonth is one where I was aiming to slow down, what with the new motorhome, a few day trips out and all that !

But not only did I write those seven short stories for the Soulwaves prequel/sequel but I also created two more ambient tracks, one guided meditation, an off-the-wall podcast and published two audiobooks from the archive. My audiobooks now have their own playlist.

Incidentally, the ambient tracks now number 13 and the whole playlist is over 3 hours long and where I aimed to be at the end of 2020. Some good has come from the lock down!

Slowing down is obviously the new speeding up.
