At the end of last year, I had made a switch. Or more accurately a switch had been made for me. Instead of being an author who created meditations to augment his books, I became a full blown meditation creator and producer who has a portfolio of books on the side.
Insight Timer (the first 1)
Like many of these evolutions, it happened gradually and organically and I was about the last to notice. It took this publically available stat for it to really sink in – which increases daily.
In confirmation that this switch had been flicked, I was approached by Todd McGuire, the CTO of IncentaHealth, a wellness company headquartered in Denver, Colorado. They wanted to augment their wellness app to include meditations. At first they merely wanted to re-use some existing meditations but after a few chats it was obvious to us both that something had to be created from the ground up.
Along Came Eternell (the third 1)
I’d been musing anyway about using some new background music to give my new meditations a new energy and I had come across an amazing ambient music composer – and all round enlightened soul, as I subsequently found out. Initially I approached Eternell via Insight Timer about using his existing music. To my surprise and delight, he wanted to create something from the ground up too and produced new music to accompany my new meditation words.
Only one month after this collaboration came about, seven new meditations to help those on a weight loss or weight management programme came to be. I posted a sample of the seven on Insight Timer and it seemed to resonate …
You can listen to this introductory meditation to sample the delights of what we created together …

You may have come across the idea of creating a vision board which pictorially represents and encapsulates your dreams. They are reasonably effective tools for delivery of our goals.
When it comes to manifestation, if any of our mind centres is weakened or out of balance, our goals can forever seem tantilisingly out of reach. What’s even worse is that some mind centres can completely nullify the actions of others. So, if you really want to conjure up your heart’s desires, it pays to be mindful about how all our internal mind centres interact with the Physical Plane.
Root
Our base chakra is the energy centre we use to communicate with the Earth Plane. It is what generates what we perceive as serendipities through the Earth mind. It also acts as a check and balance to ensure our actions are safe for us and ecological for the planet. If you find that your manifestations appear and then unmanifest, it is a sign that the energy flow through your root mind could be improved.
Sacral
Our sacral chakra provides for our needs. In times gone by, it would send out a signal that we are hungry and sense where we might go to hunt. These days it can be used to generate money and clients. If you bank balance needs a boost, energise this centre, be still of mind and allow what you need to pop along. Be open to receive in the most bizarre way and when you least expect.
Solar plexus
This is the centre of our intuition which can be expressed better as our ‘inner-tuition’. Ignore the messages from this centre and you will end up pushing water uphill. Follow its guidance and you will go with the flow. From an energetic perspective, you can use it to attract those of a like-mind to you for co-creation opportunities. It works a treat over social media!
Heart
It will come as no surprise that it through our heart centre that we attract people and opportunities that we love towards us. If you suffer from lack of external love or self-love, this centre will be weakened. It is an energetic centre that we can now take under conscious control. Applications of the Heart Ray include healing, softening tense situations and finding your soul mate and your soul purpose. See the blog below for more …
Throat
What we manifest through our throat is what we hold true. If we utter words like, “Life is tough”, then it will be. When you awaken, try exclaiming, “What a beautiful day to be on Planet Earth”. During the day, be mindful that your words hold power and what we say invokes a spell into the air. We can use this knowledge to talk to the wind and allow it to carry our wishes far and wide.
Third eye
When it comes to manifestation, our Third Eye plays two roles. It can be used to direct our wishes to the relevant mind centre so it becomes responsible for actual manifestation. Its second role is to notice when our dreams have arrived. Maintaining a quiet mind, with only essential internal dialogue running, pays great dividends here. This allows the Third Eye to receive notifications back from our other mind centres as to when they have done their job.
Crown
The crown chakra plays the opposite role from our root. When our mind is open, we can receive guidance and wisdom from the collective mind. This blog is being a typical example. When our crown is open and our root connected, we can then move our consciousness to our heart centre and run operations from there. We then become a conduit from the Above to the Below.
Heart-full Living
If you are interested in manifesting with all your internal mind centres, take the Heart-full Living course. It’s available with 1-2-1 mentoring or as a self study course. Your investment will also help restore eyesight to people in the developing world. It comes with a bonus visualisation called the Two Mind Transmutation which delivers your heart’s desires every time.
Do you ever get the feeling you don’t know if you are coming or going some days?
Perhaps you feel you are continually at a fork in the road, not knowing whether to turn left or right. You may simply be suffering from ‘twominditis’.
The Devil on Your Shoulder
Now it’s a bit of an urban myth that our left brain is logical and our right brain is creative. It’s more accurate to envisage that the left brain (in most people) handles detail and learned responses and the right brain is ‘whole-istic’ and processes new information. Even this model is a gross over-simplification.
Perhaps because of this urban myth that, when we refer to being in two minds about something, we might think that there is some inner turmoil and squabble between our brain hemispheres. This myth may well have been perpetuated by Tom and Jerry cartoons where a devil perched on a shoulder whispers in one ear while an angel advises caution in the other ear. Incidentally, the devil is often drawn on the left, or sinister, side of the cat urging him to barbecue the mouse!
The Seat of Inner-tuition
These days neuroscientists know that the human gut contains more neurons than a cat’s brain. It is also in constant communication with our head. Much of this mostly silent dialogue is concerned with requesting food and liquids. Often these come in the form of cravings.
If you have ever said, “I wished I had trusted my gut” on this or that, you will have experienced something mystics have known for ages. Our gut, or enteric, mind is the seat of intuition, sometimes in esoteric circles expressed as “inner-tuition”. Neuroscientists have also discovered something bizarre about the neurons in our gut. They seem to react to events in the external world several seconds before they occur.
It turns out that our gut is not only invariably better at making decisions than our head but it makes these decisions before we are consciously aware we need to make them.
The reason matters sometimes go awry is that our gut is a primitive mind centre when it comes to language. It only speaks with a “go” or “stop” or “yes” or “no”. It is also very quiet and is often swamped by the loud and incessant inner chatter of our so-called “monkey mind”.
Something else that mystics ’know’, and that some brighter neuroscientists are just starting two twig, is that our brain is both a generator and receiver of what are called ’thought forms’. If you think about someone just before they call you on the phone, you will have experienced the reception someone else’s generated thought forms. Again, loud inner chatter can swap out incoming whispers.
The Two Mind Conflict
Mystics also ’know’ that it is our thought forms that generate our reality, both individually and collectively.
Such thought forms are not just restricted to our heads. Our gut and heart also generate and receive. Two hearts can literally entwine or fall out of love with each other. Our guts also act as our protector and are where ’fearful’ thoughts lurk in our neurology.
While our head might hold the desire for a certain outcome, our gut mind can harbour the fear that it might not materialise. When such conflicting thought forms leak out, they can interfere with each other and we get stuck at that fork in the road. This is how being in two minds stops us in our tracks – not going left or right or forwards or backwards.
The solution to this quandary lies in invoking the considerable, and often latent, power of our heart mind. When we enter the meditative state, we can quell both the head and gut minds and allow our heart to take over. The thought form that we hold in our heart should be solely our intention!
My Heart-full Living course is based on the wisdom of ages.
It shows you how to re-engage with all your mind centres and to allow each centre to operate to it’s natural strength. At the end of the course, there is a bonus visualisation called “The Two Mind Transmutation” which shows a powerful alchemical technique to use the heart to convey your intention.
As we embark on a new orbit of the Sun, it not only pays dividends to make plans for the next year ahead but also to reflect on what unfolded in the year just gone.
That was 2015
For me, 2015 was a year of generation where I produced this little lot :

So before the start of another week and, for me, another week of blogging as part of the Ultimate Blog Challenge … how can you make it go much better than the last?
Firstly, make sure you’ve filled in the audit of last week in part 1 …
Then complete the exercise below:
How to Have a Great Week – Part 002
Before rushing into next week in the same way you handled the last, make some notes of what just transpired.
1. Write down three things you would like to happen
2. Write down three things you would like to learn
3. Write down three signs that would signify to you that a change is underway
– then for each day of the week, keep a journal of all the good things that came your way. Some of them will be unexpected; some of them will be on your list – for each of them as they come in, remember to say “Thank You”
Optionally, to superpower your week, now listen to this guided visualisation and send unconditional love into all the situations, tasks and people you’ve mentioned above and let the week unfold
