Meditation : Your Ally in Transition

Meditation : Your Ally in Transition

living an awakened lifeI had the great pleasure of interviewing Master Charles Cannon on the Zone Show recently after reading his book, Living an Awakened Life. I highly recommend the book and you can listen to the podcast here.

Around 26m30s in you will hear me ask him what he meant by a lovely, evocative phrase that jumped out at me from the book …

“Meditation is your ally in transition”

[smart_track_player url=”http://www.thezoneshow.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/11/Living-an-Awakened-Life-48k.mp3″ title=”Living an Awakened Life” artist=”Master Charles Cannon” image=”https://www.tomevans.co/wp-content/uploads/2016/11/MCC-square.jpg” background=”#eeeeff” social=”true” social_twitter=”true” social_facebook=”true” ]

I’ve been musing on this phrase for a week or so and feel minded to explain and explore the nature of this transition … having been through it myself and being on ‘the other side’ for some years now.

The transition comes in three phases :

RelaxedPhase 1 : Short Term Benefits
After meditating every day, for a couple of weeks and for just 10 minutes a day, we get pretty much an instant payback on our investment of time. We become more relaxed and our stress levels reduce. We become more tolerant of situations that would normally annoy us and, in turn, we become more pleasant to be around. We discover that meditation is a ‘nice addiction’ to have.

ActivationPhase 2 : Medium Term Realisations
After meditating for a month or two, new areas in our neurology become activated and our mind expands to a new level of capacity. We become more creative and more productive. We also begin to discover we get more done, of higher quality, in less time and that external events and serendipities begin to turn up just at the right time. In short, we stop pushing water uphill and start to go with the temporal flow.

AwakeningPhase 3 : Long Term Awakenings
After about a year or so of practice, we look back on who we used to be and wonder how we got so stressed. At some point on our journey, we will have experienced examples of what look like magic. We live in a brighter and kinder world, with a glass which is not so much half full as it is over-brimming. At least one amazing change has unfolded within us and at least one life changing opportunity lands at our feet. We awaken our fully alive powers and become a force for change and transformation in whatever endeavour we apply ourselves to.

Cataracts of the Third Eye

Cataracts of the Third Eye

Tom Evans CataractEarlier this week, as I shook the hand of the eye surgeon, Mr Simon Horgan, after having the second of two cataracts removed, I said, “No more eyes to do then”.

As soon as I said this, I realised that we all possess a Third Eye, also known as the pineal gland, or master gland. What’s more, it is easy to harbour or develop a cloudiness of vision in our Third Eye too. It’s also easy to remove it and to do this without any surgery.

cataractCauses

Cataracts in our ‘optical’ eyes are caused by a degeneration in the clarity of the lens. The primary cause of clouding of the lens is thought to be exposure over time to ultraviolet light, but it’s also thought that it can be brought on by smoking and diabetes. By the age of 80, around 40% of Americans have lens replacements. In the developing world, where treatment is not readily available, it is one of the leading causes of blindness.

Lack of clarity in our ‘knowing’ third eye similarly has many causes:

  • A sense of isolation and seperate-ness
  • A cynical and sceptical outlook
  • Excessive ‘self-talk’

Symptoms

So how do you know if your Third Eye is not ‘seeing’ well?

  • You feel lost or directionless
  • You can’t see the wood from the trees
  • You feel that the world is out to get you

Third Eye and CrownBenefits of a clear Third Eye

When we open our Third Eye, it is like gaining a new super-sense. It is also worth pointing out that René Descartes believed the pineal gland to be the principal seat of the soul. When it is clear, we get:

  • Clarity of vision
  • Improved claircogniscence and clairvoyance
  • An opening to channel

Cures

Fortunately the cure for ‘third eye impairment and blindness’ is relatively simple and painless. It involves two stages:

Firstly, recognising the role and existence of the third eye as a location for super-sensory awareness.

Secondly, moving your consciousness to the third eye by spending a few minutes each day in meditation.

Thirdly, working on and in what you are passionate about under your own steam, or ideally with others.

Insight for Sore Eyes

I am fortunate to live in a part of the world where I can get access to top class medical care. As a result, just a few months after diagnosis, I have clarity of vision back again. I could then see clearly that I have a beautiful mechanism available whereby someone who can afford it gains clarity of vision for their Third Eye and, as a result, someone who can’t afford it gets their eyesight fixed.

So in the second half of 2016, I started donating £40 from every sale of my Heart-full Living course to The IMPACT Foundation. This way someone who can afford it improves their Third Eyesight and someone else got their sight back.

Making an Impact

Since meeting up with the people that run the charity, I realised they do much more than fix eyes. They assist with education and with many other medical interventions. So going forward, I am dropping the single donation idea related to sales of my Heart-full Living course. From any sale of three of my self-study courses*, 20% of the gross amount will be donated AND all courses are available at variable price points to suit what people can afford.

Five Reasons to Start Living Heart-fully

Heart chakraWe humans have an amazing, special and magical ability that we often take for granted. We can think.

From quite an early age, most people gain the ability to talk to themselves, and each other. As a result, from when we wake up in the morning until we fall asleep, our mind starts a-chattering. Many do not give this a second thought from one day to the next.

While the ability to think is an amazing feat for sentient star dust (i.e. Us) to pull off, it has resulted in the thought forms from our lower mind centres being swamped and overlooked. You will know what I mean if you have ever said, “I wish I’d trusted my gut” or “My heart was never in it”.

From an energetic perspective, this ability to think and talk comes about from a level of communication not yet recognised by many, if any, neuroscientists. For starters, not all thoughts emanate from our brain as it is as much a receiver of thought as it is a generator of thought. Our seven main internal chakra centres are also communication portals. It is the one right in the centre of our brain, the pineal gland or Third Eye, that picks up many external thought forms. It can be tuned in through the practice of mindfulness meditation.

The ability to talk involves intercommunication between this sixth chakra point and the fifth chakra point, the throat chakra. Around 1 to 2 million years ago, humankind got “The Word” and this magical ability of self-talk and language was conferred upon us. We are now on the cusp of the next stage in evolution where we become able to take conscious control of our heart chakra, as well as the chakra centres below. The result of this shift has a few prerequisites and many consequences.

What happens when we live heart-fully?

#1 : Loving what you do

Just imagine if each and every day you could wake up and do just what you love to do, with people you love. Think about what is stopping you from doing that right now and imagine if such barriers to doing this could vapourise.

#2 : Loving who you are with

Imagine a world where the people you want to be with turn up, just like magic. Whether it’s the perfect clients or business partners or friends or a soulmate you are looking for, imagine if they just found you.

#3 : Loving where you are going

If we are worrying about tomorrow, we lose focus on today and our efficiency drops. When we entrust our decisions to our heart and gut minds, we will rarely put a foot wrong. It is both a simpler and a safer way to be.

#4 : Loving who you are

All love starts with self-love. This is not love of a narcissistic kind but one where we love ourselves for who we are, what we do and what we can do for others. It is difficult to ask others to love us if we don’t start by truly loving ourselves.

#5 : Loving who you might become

It’s said that the only thing you can take with you is your evolution (and that the only thing you can really leave behind is your art). If the most amazing life is within your grasp, just around the corner, it would be silly not to take that next step – and another and another.

There is a version of you in the future who has achieved all your heart’s desires, and more. The only person in the world who might prevent you from being that person in the future is you right now.

Living HeartfullyHow and where do you start?

I have been fortunate to live a charmed life. I have been blessed with many gifts but also experienced many frustrations. When I switched to living heart-fully, years of turmoil and inner-struggle disappeared and a new world opened up for me. I want to share the secrets of what I have learned with others.

Two of the gifts I have received were an engineering mindset and the ability to channel. The former lets me build ‘stuff’ and the latter gives me access to information that I do not know. This is called claircogniscence.

Using the principles above, I was nudged into creating a chakra awakening programme that seems to switch people into a new mode of existence and awakens a new level of consciousness.

I’ve called it (or had it called for me), Heart-full Living.

Watch this short video with Hannah Smithson who was the soul who nudged me:

And start your next phase of evolution here …

Awakening with Heart

Crown ChakraThere was a time when our ancestors walked the planet who were very like us physically, yet they had not developed fully what we take for granted these days. They did not possess our magical ability to be self-aware. They could feel emotions pretty much like we do so could be sad, angry and even grieve for loved ones, as do elephants, ceteceans and primates. They did not possess language as we know it and, as a result, lacked the capacity for internal ‘self-talk’.

Then, around a million or so years ago, something rather remarkable happened – we learned to talk. The Word was made Flesh!

Heart icon

Third Eye ChakraThe mystic and sage Rudoplh Steiner describes this process in an interesting way. He described the acquisition of the faculty of language as the 3rd Eye Chakra taking conscious control of the Throat Chakra. Nowadays, we don’t give it a second thought that we can vocalise our thoughts and cause others to have thoughts about what we are thinking. To our ancestors, this would be like magic and unimaginable to them.

Heart icon

Throat chakraAbout a year ago, a lovely soul called Hannah Smithson suggested to me over Skype that it would be great to do a series of meditations that could be listened to over seven days. As a result of listening to them, some spiritual unfoldment would take place. I suggested that a series that energised and activated the seven chakras would be a good thing to do and I set about channelling them in and recording them. This process involves opening of the Crown Chakra so wisdom can flow through the 3rd Eye Chakra and through my Throat Chakra. This is how things work!

Heart icon

Heart chakraWhen I do such channelling, my conscious mind merely presses the record and stop buttons and I allow the words to flow. The result of what was created has amazed me and those who have taken the program. Amazing transformations have taken place which Steiner, and others, predicted would unfold. Having taken conscious control of our Throat Chakra, the next phase of human evolution involves us taking conscious control of our lower chakra centres. What we will be able to do when this happens will currently look like magic, until we accept it as being the norm.

For example, we can use our heart chakra to find our soul mate, soften tense situations and heal both face to face and at a distance. This video is typical of the experience.

Heart icon

Solar Plexus chakraOnce we become comfortable and adept at controlling our heart centre, we can then do the same for the chakras below. For some people, this happens spontaneously. When we activate our solar plexus chakra, we gain the ability to jump forward in time and predict the near-future. We become pre-cogniscent and adept at always making the right choices. I have heard it also leads to the ability to teleport and jump space and time. I have had a few of these experiences already, but when I was not expecting them.

Heart icon

Sacral chakraThe sacral chakra turns out to be the seat from which we manifest our needs. It’s activation leads to us bringing along just enough money when we need it as well as allowing events to unfold at just the perfect time. While vision boards have their place, fear that our visions might not arrive can tend to prevent our dreams from happening. When we take conscious control of the sacral chakra, our dreams have a tendency to arrive even before we have them.

Heart icon

Root chakraActivation of the root chakra leads to many benefits. Firstly, it allows us to become connectors from the Above to the Below, with our heart centre as the pivot point. Secondly, it ensures our actions are always carried out with the safety and ecology of the planet at heart. I also suspect it will lead to the ability to levitate but that’s kind of work in progress and has only happened once to me.

The result of activation of all the chakra centres, in the manner I have channelled in, results in a shift from head-based consciousness to heart-based awareness. This is not just a metaphorical shift. It an actual movement of consciousness which comes with new super-sensibilities and abilities.

Anatomy of a Light Bulb Moment

When we meet people we’ve not seen for a while, we often ask “What’s new?”. If you get confronted with this question when not expecting it, you can get caught of guard, end up scratching your head and might even feel compelled to make something up.

On ‘slow news days’, you can imagine journalists do not have a good time and some have even been known to make up ‘news’. I love it when breakfast TV reports what is ‘new’ in the newspapers. At the same time, morning papers talk about what is ‘new’ on TV. This cycle feeds itself. We all know this is all not really ‘news’ at all, even though it’s on the News and in the News-papers.

You’ve also heard that phrase – “There’s nothing new under the Sun”.

So is it possible that anything is actually new? Now having a dig at journalists is not the point here – they have a job to do and provide a service many people want to consume. The point is for something to be really new, it has to possess some important characteristics.

Firstly, it only has to be new to us. You might know something that’s quite ‘old’ that I don’t and when you share it with me, it’s news to me. I may thank you and pass it on if I think it’s newsworthy.

Secondly, it might be something that has occurred for the first time. This could be some permutation that causes us to take notice. All too often, our news reports focus on ‘bad news’ only offering a token ‘And finally …’ good news snippet at the end. What a breath of fresh air a ‘good news only’ news broadcast would be.

Thirdly is the class of news I personally find the most exciting and fascinating and that’s when something new is discovered or invented. Here we are acting in a generative capacity fabricating something new from existing parts or conditions.

When you are involved with ‘bringing in the new’ in this manner, and on a regular basis, it has an amazing affect on your health and well being. Being in an environment where renewal is the order of the day causes our brains to continually rewire and keeps our mind active. In turn, this active mind renews our body.

What makes generation of this type of news even more attractive to workers of light is that the two practices that encourage this type of ‘newness’ are meditation and respiration.

Meditation sets up the perfect conditions for light bulb moments to occur. A still mind allows ‘the new’ to arrive. In the converse situation, the same thinking delivers the same ‘old’ results. Fresh thinking leads to a fresh mind and a fresh body.

The fuel to encourage the introduction of such fresh thought is specifically delivered during the in-spiration phase of the re-spiration process. The hyphenation is not only intentional but provides some elucidation as to what is occurring.

As neurons do not have internal reserves for oxygen, more neuronal activity requires more oxygen to be delivered rapidly through the blood stream. Conventional wisdom suggests that more neuronal activity creates more connections and the likelihood of a ‘new’ connection being forged increases as a result. So deeper breathing while meditating causes more interconnectivity in the brain.

Now this might well be ‘news’ to you but I had the light bulb moment that it might be fun to use this technique to channel in what really goes on during this process. This was the result.

When you move your diaphragm, your spiritual muscle, it pump primes your pranic tube. This in turn stimulates your main chakra centres and a massive amount of intercommunication ensues. Initially this is mainly between your gut, heart and third eye.

After a few minutes, the pranic force seeps outside your physical body. Via your omega chakra, a few inches below your root chakra point, your prana seeps into Mother Earth and informs her you are ready to receive.

A microsecond later, it rises past your crown to your alpha chakra point just above your head. At this time, you become the pivot point between the superconsciousness and Lady Gaia – your heart being at the very centre.

If at that time, you are internally silent, information transfer occurs. It seems to happen outside time and inside space. Every neuron in your brain lights up and you experience the beginning of a light bulb moment. The process is not yet complete.

The information is passed to Mother Earth who checks it is safe and timely for you to receive it. It then passes into your gut centre for further ‘internal quality assurance’. Your gut then passes it to your heart centre so you can fall in love with the idea.

Finally, it returns to your third eye and is allowed to enter your outer cortex and your consciousness and you get a ‘new idea’. In real time, less than a second has elapsed. Yet, as all your ‘minds’ are in agreement, you know you have to act on this ‘news’ – it just feels right.

Your throat chakra might even get it on the act and shout “Eureka”!

Now I am hoping this mechanism for how we receive light bulb moments is ‘news’ to some of you. It certainly is to me.
